In 1999, optometrists specializing in Low Vision detected the demand for greater knowledge of this specialty by Spanish visual health professionals.
After having received our specialization in the US and Europe, we began working to transfer these training programs to Spain.
Our professional career includes private clinics, hospitals, ONCE centers, companies, universities and optical centers; which allows us to have extensive experience and an exclusive global vision of the specialty of Low Vision.
Since our beginnings in 1999, the In-Person Low Vision Courses have had great acceptance and prestige. These have been held biannually in spring and autumn, consolidating our prestige within the sector for 25 years.
In 2010, the Low Vision Institute was selected by a European consortium to be part of the European VIDP Project, consolidating our trajectory already begun in R&D&i in Low Vision within the Group.
We have offered online Low Vision Training since 2011, being pioneers in the Low Vision sector. Through the platform www.lowvisionelearning.com, simple and intuitive.
